Light-filled studios, a central piazza and a performing-arts room. Glass where there could be walls, so you can always see what your child is making.
Bear Park Remuera is a Reggio-inspired early learning centre at 13-15 Dilworth Avenue, caring for tamariki aged 3 months to 5 years from Remuera, Newmarket, Meadowbank and Parnell.
A working beehive, a composting system the children tend themselves, and a central piazza where families, tamariki and teachers connect every day.
When a child asks why the bees dance, that question can become a month of drawing, building and finding out.
Glass walls and open studios. You see what your child made today, and they see you seeing it.
A short welcome from the person who leads the Remuera team, who would love to meet you and your child in person.
Our teachers are inspired by Reggio Emilia, the RIE approach and Te Whāriki, with genuine relationships between children, parents and teachers at the centre of everything we do.

"We love the focus on natural resources and open-ended, explorative play. The performing arts room and atelier are super cool, and my boys have loved it like their second home."

At Bear Park Remuera we staff our rooms beyond what the ratio asks, so every kaiako can genuinely know every child in their care: how they communicate, what makes them light up, what they need when unsettled. Our ratios exceed licensing minimums, and our infant and toddler rooms are especially well-staffed.
At least 80% of our kaiako hold an ECE or primary teaching qualification at NZQA Level 7 or above, with Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand registration. Our Curriculum and Operations team of experienced teachers mentors staff and supports the curriculum at the centre.
Tamariki aged 3 months to 5 years. Our continuity of care approach means your pēpi can stay with us right through to starting school, with trusted kaiako alongside them.
Contact us for current fees at Bear Park Remuera. We participate in the Government's 20 Hours ECE funding for eligible three- and four-year-olds.
13-15 Dilworth Avenue, a short walk from Remuera train station and the Remuera Road village shops, with Ohinerau (Mount Hobson) within easy reach. Families join us from Remuera, Newmarket, Meadowbank, Parnell and Greenlane. Open Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6.00pm.
Spaces at Bear Park Remuera are limited and tend to fill quickly, especially for under twos, so we encourage whānau to enquire early. Book a tour and we will talk you through availability for your child's age.
