Tucked in a quiet residential street, Albany is home to a warm infant and toddler centre and preschool. Rich learning environments, a thriving garden and passionate kaiako with time for every child.

Bear Park Albany is a Reggio-inspired early learning centre at 31 Schnapper Rock Road, caring for tamariki aged 3 months to 5 years from Albany, Rosedale, Schnapper Rock and across the North Shore.

The infant space at Bear Park Albany

An intimate start for babies

Our youngest infants are cared for in a separate, cosy space by kaiako focused entirely on that room. Calm, unhurried and deeply personal from the very first day.

The herb and vegetable garden at Bear Park Albany

A garden where curiosity grows

Toddlers and older children are free to explore an ever-evolving herb and vegetable garden, connecting with the natural world through open-ended, child-led learning at their own pace.

Tamariki and kaiako at Bear Park Albany

A community built on belonging

Every child is seen as a capable individual. More teachers around each child, a peaceful setting and a committed team create an environment where tamariki feel genuinely safe and inspired to learn.

A warm welcome from the team who lead the centre.

A short welcome from the person who leads the Albany team, who would love to meet you and your child in person.

Our teachers are inspired by Reggio Emilia, the RIE approach and Te Whāriki, with genuine relationships between children, parents and teachers at the centre of everything we do.

How well they know her

"Every time she arrives at the centre, Teacher Wilma shows her the goldfish she loves, and Teacher Chloe sings Brown Bear with her. Each time during pick-up, I can see how well the teachers know my daughter."

Sandy XuParent · Albany

They all truly know them

"The staff don't just look after the kids, they all truly know them. They build genuine, lasting bonds that help each child grow in confidence, curiosity, and kindness."
